Amazing Shake
Corsicana ISD will host its first Regional Amazing Shake Competition from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Corsicana Middle School. This exciting event is designed for 7th and 8th grade students and focuses on developing and showcasing essential soft skills.
Participants will be evaluated on their handshake and introduction, eye contact, conversational abilities, voice control, and poise under pressure. These skills are critical for success in both academic and professional settings, and the competition offers a unique opportunity for students to practice and refine them in a supportive environment.
The event will be judged by a panel of business and community leaders, as well as entrepreneurs, who will provide valuable feedback throughout the day. The student who earns the top score will receive free registration to the Global Amazing Shake competition in Atlanta, Georgia, offering a chance to compete on a national stage.
Schools must register their students by Friday, Nov. 7. The registration fee is $50 per student, which includes a T-shirt and lunch. For more details or questions, contact amazingshake@cisd.org.
